DOWNLOAD: Mike Patton’s demo tape for FNM

•September 19, 2008 • Leave a Comment

So there seriously hasn’t been a god damn postworthy story in like 5 days. I was gonna post the new Human Abstract video but I’ve recently decided that I’m not a huge fan. I get it, you guys are really good at soloing and sweeping.

Anyway, that is neither here nor there. Stubbadub has another fucking sweet free download that you should go get now. It’s the demo that Mike Patton recorded for his FNM tryout.

“Recorded on 4-Track in Bill Gould’s attic as a demonstration of Mike Patton for Faith No More’s management and their record company (Slash). Two copies of this tape exist, dubbed directly from the 4-Track by Bill onto tapes with pre-existing music on them.

This copy was sold on eBay in September 2006 after being found in a Hollywood, CA thrift shop in a box of other music industry demo tapes along with a copy of Mr Bungle’s 4th demo “OU818″ and 4 photos of Mike Patton taken in a Photo Vending Machine.

These are rough versions of the songs, most likely played live into the 4-Track. The music and lyrics are early versions and contain many differences from the final recordings.
The exact timing of the recording is unknown but FNM’s first gig with Patton was in Nov 1988 and so this recording was probably made before that.”

Pretty fucking rad right? Go HERE to pick it up.

VIDEO: Horse the Band murders Serbians

•September 10, 2008 • 1 Comment

Horse the Band just released their self-made video for the track “Murder.” Filmed in Serbia, the venue and the crowd both look kinda haggard, which makes for a pretty raw video. (If there’s one thing my mom taught me it was to not fuck with a drunk Serbian)

Watch it below and go see HTB on tour fucker!

Lamb Of God are back in the studio to record the followup to their to their face-melting 2006 opus, “Sacrament.” The new untitled album is scheduled for a February 2009 release but if you can’t wait that long you’re in luck. A bunch of webcams have been set up in their studio so you can watch the progress live. Go HERE to check it. Pretty fuckin sweet idea if you ask me, it’s like a reality show without all the dead-eyed bitch whores.

VIDEO: I’ve got a Raging Machine…in my pants!

This happened like two days ago but I’ve been busy so fuck off.

Rage Against The Machine was supposed to play a show at the Republican National Convention on the 2nd but was denied by the machine or the man or something. Anyway they decided to march and after a little anti-war propaganda, Zach and band proceeded to perform accapella versions of a couple of their songs. Too bad you weren’t there and will probably never get to hear/see it… Oh wait, here it is.

I actually kind of like the new Metallica single, but this video is pretty fucking lame. I guess the moral of the story is don’t trust middle-easterners, unless you have a shitload of guns and they have their own jumper cables.

Here’s the shit that I don’t feel an entire paragraph needs to be devoted to.

Another And Justice For All ripoff track from Metallica by the name of “My Apocalypse” can be streamed on their site HERE.

•United Nations, which is Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw/Head Automatica, Geoff Rickly of Thursday and Converge drummer Ben Koller has their new album streaming in it’s entirety HERE. I’ve made it through the first couple tracks and it sounds pretty killer so far.

•Spylacopa is another supergroup that features John LaMacchia from Candiria, Jeff Caxide from Isis, Greg Puciato from Dillinger Escape Plan and Julie Christmas from Made Out of Babies. Their myspace page has a track up but it’s doubtful that it sounds like the rest of the album. An EP is due out in November.
